Friday Flower Pick : Hazy Sunshine & Roses

November hardly seems like a month to stalk flowers, but what do you do when the weather forcast calls for hazy sunshine with a chance of roses?!...You head on over to Palisades Park of course, to see what you may be so lucky to find=)!! 

My photographic quest was rewarded with just a precious few blooms left bobbing in a gentle westerly wind, with soft light and bokeh sparkle all around!!

Back en shoppe, I got to musing on the dreamy scene and came up with these rose garden themed statement earrings, in my favorite holiday color palette of mint 'n red!! They go lovely with a couple of my latest glittering turbans. 

Glitter is a must for holiday parties, and metallic gold and Christmas red sequins will have you glowing from November to New Year's!!

Tropical Christmas in Mint and Red

There's something deliciously festive about a holiday color palette of mint green and cherry red!! It instantly conjures up images of a sweet, tropical island Christmas, complete with strands of twinkle lights in palm trees, coconut rum drinks, and Christmas carols set to steel drum beats!!

I love a mint and red combination as a lighter, fresher take on a traditional Christmas palette. It pairs beautifully with creamy whites and sparkling crystal...and goes gorgeously with my sunny 'n mild SoCal winter too!! Accented with deep dark greens, mint green and red would even liven up a classic snowy scene, with a delightfully tropical twist!!

Friday Flower Pick : Periwinkle Pretties

Halloween weekend is now upon us, and no doubt you're as busy as bee getting your costume in order, the candy bowl stocked, and the pumpkins in place=)!!

...It's been a wonderful week of doing the Halloween hustle at Mademoiselle Mermaid, creating lots of gorgeous costume pieces that I hope will simply delight their wearers this weekend!!

This periwinkle, early morning scene (above) is just the tranquil sort of thing to refresh my senses and renew my spirit for the fun ahead!!
