Taste Bud Tuesday : Mermaid Mint Mocha

My Mermaid Mint Mocha always starts with fresh organic mint leaves...

...muddled just a bit to release the flavor...

Then two tablespoons of hot chocolate powder go into the mug...

...topped by my coffee du jour (I love Whole Foods Pacific Rim brewed in my AeroPress!!)

Add a little splash of half 'n half and stir...

...It's the perfect autumn afternoon pick-me-up=)!!

I spotted around town!!

Beautiful, translucent blossoms against a crisp blue sky are totally delightful in the summer, 

but in October, they are pure magic.

Charming Bow Turbans : My L.A. Winter Hat

I'm completely charmed by these bow turbans!!...

...That's why this afternoon, I am busily stitching them up in all 24 delightful hues of my drapey and dreamy rayon jersey knit fabric!!

Along with a velvet caftan and a flannel hat in red/black buffalo plaid, it's something I'm making to add to my own wardrobe this Fall!!

I love a lightweight, comfy, and irresistibly chic turban as an alternative to a hat 

...for a not-so-chilly L.A. winter.

...and I'm having a delightfully difficult time choosing a color!!
