Friday Flower Pick: Exposition Park

Hello from Los Angeles's Exposition Park!!

...a gorgeous little gem of a place nestled between a few of L.A.'s best museums.

This spectacular (and free) park features 15,000 rose bushes, shaded gazebos for lingering, and a quite impressive water fountain.

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles had been on my "must go-to" list for quite some time!!
Somehow it just never seemed to work out...the butterfly exhibit was closed for the season, there were rennovations, and there was the fact that I'm never in that part of town!!

...But last weekend's trip to San Francisco reminded me of just how much fun it is to explore new places!! While brainstorming for something clever and undone to do around town, I couldn't get the NHM out of my mind!!

This weekend the stars aligned, and here's the delightful day of butterflies, gems, and fossils I was treated to=)...

Catching a Wave 'n Catching Up on What's New

"Unofficial" summer is off to a fun 'n fabulous start!!

...This week I'll be back to blogging and catching up a bit on what's new in Mademoiselle Mermaid's fashion Wonderland!!

There are new sewing machines to discuss, my latest turban design to debut, and lots of butterfly and flower photos to share...courtesy of a much enjoyed trip to the Natural History Museum and Exposition Park!!
