If a rose is a rose is a rose is a rose...
then I've been positively showered with blossoms this week!! The spring witch-work is in the air, the flower pick-ing walks and dazzling daylight hours are getting longer...And so many rose bushes are bursting into bloom!!

Interestingly beautiful cloud-filled skies, impromptu morning rain showers, hills full of lush green things...and not to mention purple wild flowers in every shade from lavender to amethyst...that's how spring sprung around here!!

I love this tree, particularly because it is on the most ordinary of ordinary streets, tucked in the corner of a little parking lot, between the train tracks and a nondescript brick building.
...I hardly noticed it all, and then one spring, it burst into pink cotton candy bloom and took my breath away!!
Now that I'm hip to the exquisite beauty it keeps under wraps most of the year, I laugh when blowing by it on my beach cruiser (daily)...because nature is just fabulously delightful and endlessly surprising like that!!

A spot for quiet morning reflections - of both the internal and external kind - is easy to find in the meditative labyrinth that is the Venice Canals.
I've enjoyed strolling and pondering along this botanical wonderland's narrow little pathways and quaint bridges for years now...in any season and any weather!!
Friday Flower Pick-ing has me at again...searching the canals for something breathtakingly beautiful and unique!! And I found it under this charming canopy of a flowering kangaroo apple plant, all pretty 'n purple and looking just like an early spring daydream!!
