Friday Flower Pick : Fuchsia Bougainvillea

In Southern California, bright fuchsia bougainvillea is everywhere!!...
...in every season...around every corner.

A shocking beautiful burst of hot pink spilling out from the bramble by the freeway entrance, or climbing across an ordinary chain link fence, is a common enough sight for this Friday Flower Pick-er. 

But this particular bougainvillea specimen really caught my eye, looking especially fetching in the early morning light, with a background of soft clouds, blue sky, and magnificent palm trees. 

I thought it was time to give one of my favorite everyday, California classic plants a moment in the sun!!
